Gilda Olvidado's Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin is a tale of family, deception, early marriage and true love that features a star-studded cast led by the popular love team of Aljur Abrenica and Kris Bernal, together with the award-winning acting prowess of Ara Mina.
Magsisimula ang lahat when the happy-go-lucky Lito (Aljur) meets the straight-A student Myrna sa isang laban between two warring fraternities.
Myrna is accidentally caught in the middle of the fight, kung saan kasama si Lito at kung saan ililigtas siya ng binata. Sa unang pagkikita na ito mahuhumaling agad ang dalawa sa isa't-isa.
Pero dahil nanggagaling sila sa magkaibang mundo, all their friends try pull the two apart.
Myrna, coming from a strict and conservative family, doesn't even have the courage na umamin sa pamilya niya tungkol kay Lito, lalo pa't ang binatang kanyang minamahal ay kilalang spoiled brat na product ng isang broken family.
Para hindi sila mapaghiwalay, the young couple decides to elope, leading them to fall into trappings of married-life responsibilities.
