New faces, new shows unveiled in GMA’s grand, glitzy and glamorous trade launch

GMA Network, the Philippines’ leading broadcast company, hosted a grand, glitzy and glamorous trade launch for its business partners and advertisers as part of its year-long 60th anniversary celebrations.
Held at the SMX Convention Center, the big event featured splendid performances from the powerhouse cast of Asia’s party capital, “Party Pilipinas,” and the launching of new programs and new faces set to capture the hearts of millions of viewers around the world.
This special celebration was attended by the Network’s top executives headed by Chairman, President and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr., GMA Films President Annette Gozon-Abrogar, Senior Vice President for Entertainment TV Wilma V. Galvante, Senior Vice President for News and Public Affairs Marissa L. Flores, GMA Marketing and Productions, Inc. (GMPI) President and COO Lizelle G. Maralag, and GMPI Senior Vice President for Marketing Joel G. Jimenez.
The party started with a grand production number from Kyla, Jay-R, Mark Bautista, Aljur Abrenica, Frencheska Farr, Geoff Taylor, Kris Lawrence in their concert-like performance, and the hip moves from the Bad Boy of the Dance Floor, Mark Herras.
Meanwhile, fast-rising Kapuso teen stars Sarah Labahti and Steven Silva of StarStruck V, Barbie Forteza, Joshua Dionisio, Jhake Vargas and Bea Binene of First Time, and Julie Ann San Jose with young rapper Elmo Magalona, son of the late Master Rapper Francis M, pumped up the evening with their colorful song and dance number.
Party Pilipinas party jocks Raymond Gutierrez, Tim Yap, Bella Padilla, StarStruck V avenger Ian Batherson, Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez, Queen of Soul Jaya and the Singer and Songwriter Ogie Alcasid introduced new faces and segments that will surely draw in more viewers to join the coolest partyphiles on TV.
Making the trade party more bubbly was comedy genius and Asia’s Funniest Michael V. who introduced the first-ever reality-sitcom on TV - Pepito Manaloto. The other cast members in attendance were Carmina Villaroel, Manilyn Reynes and Joshua Pineda. Multi-talented artists Eugene Domingo and Allan K were also introduced as hosts of the upcoming late-night weekend program Comedy Bar.
Following the success of its primetime shows in the first quarter, GMA Network promises to deliver more riveting and heartwarming stories with the upcoming programs in the primetime block led by the much-anticipated Pinoy adaptation of the Korean series Endless Love starring Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes. Viewers - kids and adults alike - will surely enjoy the Network’s other new programs presented in the trade fair like Pilyang Kerubin, Langit Sa Piling Mo and Odessa, The Legend of the Swan Princess.
On the other hand, GMA’s Vice President for News Jessica Soho presented the Network’s News and Public Affairs’ roster of new and upcoming shows like Aha! hosted by Drew Arellano and the much-awaited return of the reality-based Survivor Philippines. Unlike the previous seasons, this year's Survivor will be more captivating and intriguing since it will be a celebrity edition hosted by one of GMA Network's bankable actors Richard Gutierrez.
GMA News and Public Affairs has been leading Filipinos in its campaign for honest and peaceful elections this May with its extensive awareness campaign of the automation system and unbiased news coverage of all the political candidates through Eleksyon 2010.
Q Channel 11, GMA Network's sister station, also unveiled their latest programming namely I Laugh Sabado, Sus Naman! May Solusyon Yan! and Tonight with Arnold Clavio.
More so, the country's most-sought after showbiz couple Dingdong and Marian thrilled the audience with their production number. Aside from their upcoming primetime show, Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera topbill the latest GMA Films' offering titled You To Me Are Everything.
Aside from introducing new programs, GMA Network also gave the guests at the trade party a chance to experience the newest dating game on Philippine television titled Take Me Out hosted by Jay-R. Nipo-Brasiliero delights Akihiro Sato, Daniel Matsunagaand Fabio Ide, stationed at the Take Me Out booth, were swamped by guests for photo sessions which went on the entire evening.
Adding more fun and excitement to the trade launch was the raffle draw that gave away iPads, PSPs, other electronic gadgets and two brand new Mitsubishi Lancers won by Christina de Guzman-Lao of Golden Arches Development Corporation and Rommel Pentinio of Starcom Mediavest Group.
Activity booths from various GMA programs featured fun-filled games and gave away prizes that truly added fun to the event from beginning to end. Among them, the GMA Pinoy TV and GMA Life TV booth gathered a good number of guests who expressed interest in the Network’s international channels.
