Lovi Poe-starrer "Walang Hanggang Paalam” grabs Best World Showcase Feature award in Soho International Film Festival NYC 20

Filipino film “Walang Hanggang Paalam” (Endless Farewell) was awarded as the Best World Showcase Feature in the recently concluded Soho International Film Festival NYC 2010 where GMA Pinoy TV and GMA Life TV “the international channels of GMA Network in the Philippines “participated as media sponsors.
“Walang Hanggang Paalam” starred Kapuso young actress Lovi Poe, a mainstay of of GMA Pinoy TV's SHOW ME DA MANNY, Kapuso actor Marco Alcaraz, and actor/producer Jacky Woo. It was directed by Ellen Ramos and Paolo Villaluna.
The film was declared the best among eleven other entries, including two more Filipino film entries “ "Pitik Bulag" by Gil Portes and "The Pastor's Kid" by Dale Adriatico.
Other awardees include "A Kiss of Chaos" (USA) as Best USA Showcase Feature; "Burma: An Indictment" (USA/Burma) as Best Documentary Feature; “The Godmother" (USA) as Best Short; "Defect" (Australia) as Best Work in Progress Short; "Just Like Joe" (USA) for Audience Award Feature; and "Rapunzel" (Turkey) for Audience Award Short.
Soho International Film Festival NYC 2010 was a four day event which started on Feb. 18 and ended Feb. 21. With the goal to encourage amateur and professional filmmakers alike to produce more original and thought-provoking works, the festival showcased 30 films from around the world at the heart of New York City.
